CHANDLER, AZ - Covance (NYSE: CVD), one of the world's largest and most comprehensive drug development services companies, opened its 288,000-square-foot facility in Chandler, Arizona last year. This new facility provides state-of-the-art preclinical safety testing services, including GLP toxicology and bioanalytical services.
Recently, Covance announced that the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC) awarded full accreditation to the company's Chandler facility. AAALAC International endorses the ethical use of animals to advance medicine and science when alternatives are not available. Voluntary accreditation and assessment is designed to recognize research programs that demonstrate excellence in animal care and use.
